Description This charming woodland Owl Door Knocker is made from cast brass here in the UK, using traditional sand casting techniques, and makes a unique statement on any front door. Cast in a UK foundry from an authentic pattern, the antique style woodland Owl Door Knocker would be perfectly at home on the door of a barn conversion, cottage, town house or modern home. He is traditionally cast from a hand carved pattern, polished and left unlacquered to take on a vintage patina over time. The Owl hangs from its head, behind which is the fixing point. The base of the Owl, strikes the plate at the bottom. The excellent detail of the casting, shows the Owl’s wings, claws, body and head perched on a branch. The door knocker has a back plate to strike the owl against, which is screwed to the door so that no fixings show inside the door. Dimensions: 140mm (5 5/8″) high and 75mm (3″) wide x 50mm (2″) projection. Boxed weight 1kg.
